Recognizing the Impact of the SAFE Act of 2008

AllRegs Academy’s Recognizing the Impact of the SAFE Act of 2008 course is designed to teach students to recognize the purpose of the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act) and the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), and to identify the minimum requirements for licensing and registration. During this self-study online course, clarification will be given regarding key items in the final rule, helping attendees to better be able to recognize the requirements of loan originator licensing and/or registration. The course also provides several quizzes that will test the student’s knowledge and application of the SAFE Act.

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Identify the purpose of the federal SAFE Act
- Recognize the purpose and objectives of the NMLS
- Define key terms
- Identify the minimum standards for state-licensed originators
- Identify the minimum requirements for federally-registered originators
- Clarify items in the final rule for federal registration
How it works
Each self-paced, self-study course examines a particular topic, allowing students to hone in on a focused set of learning concepts. Each course is designed with learning objectives, comprehensive course materials, learning reinforcement activities that appeal to various learning styles, real world examples, and, where appropriate, video and/or audio recordings of industry experts.
The final exam is completed online with instant grading, and you can download your industry-recognized certificate of completion after you successfully pass the course. While course completion time varies per student, it will take approximately one hour to complete most courses.
Students have 12 months from the registration date to complete the course. Upon successful completion of the course, students can download their industry-recognized certificate of completion and transcript.
